Just like our last blog, the next town is located in Yorkshire, and has become quite the popular destination amongst both pensioners, and families. Finding out where you fit in on your journey is a must, as there isn’t a lack of opportunities to discover.
Being one of the first seaside resort towns back in the 1600s, it has had many visitors along its beaches and browsing its town. With two parts to its beach, the north side and the south, you can see how it is such a large and glorified beach. With 2 bays, the beach offers twice as much, but already including ice cream and candy floss, sandcastles and donkey rides, there is nothing to fear! The North Bay Beach is the “Blue flag” beach of Scarborough, meaning that it is recognised as one of the best beaches across Europe. The South Bay Beach is known as Scarborough’s busiest beach, with soft sand and calm water, it becomes a hotspot for the sun.
With the event of “Pro Surf UK” being held here recently, it is quite a popular place to be whilst it’s on. A whole new atmosphere happening at the beach, and this isn’t the only event that Scarborough has to offer, with things happening all throughout the year. If its entertainment that you’re looking for, you can easily find it at the Stephen Joseph Theatre, the largest open air theatre in Europe.
However, if it’s something like an art museum that you are interested in, then taking a look at the Rotunda. Full of amazing artwork and artefacts, you can see some famous displays that are located here. Finding the best way for you to take in the experience would be a start, as the museum has a great amount to show to both the young and older generation.
