When one of our staff, Anne, asked us to help her daughter and friends who are going to travel to Calais to help the refugees – Vision Coaches was delighted to be of assistance – and now Anne’s daughter (Lyndsey) and fellow students at Liverpool Hope University have the use of one of our mini-buses, a driver and his time to get them there and back safely – carrying much needed supplies.
As Granada Reports and Radio City have reported, the Hope Uni students – along with others from John Moores and Chester Uni’s – have been planning to travel to Calais for a while and have been gathering donations of toothpaste, deodorants, and other toiletries that will help refugees at the Calais camp known as “the Jungle”. They have raised funds in all sorts of ways for the trip, including a Just Giving Page – here https://www.justgiving.com/SWAN-refugee-crisis/.
The trip is due to start around 6pm this evening and we are very happy to do our bit to help the students in their efforts to help the refugees – good luck everyone!
