Only 60 minutes from London, Brighton is known as a seaside town, with the beaches being heavily known for their quality and sunshine. But other than the beaches, what else is Brighton known for? We dig deep into the depths of the town by the sea, and look at the options of what to visit.
The Royal Pavilion is what most people would call a mansion, as a large palace-looking building that overlooks the moors surrounds it. Finished building in 1823 for King George IV, it clearly shows the luxury of living like a king. Starting out as a small house in a fishing village outside of London, the building has seen many paths for itself, including a hospital during the First World War. Currently used as a museum, we can visit it and learn about its history whilst looking at its inside, or booking for wedding venues etc.
Brighton Marina has it all. If you’re visiting here for a day, then you don’t have to leave. With places to eat and drink, you can spend an entire day here learning about what Brighton Marina has to offer. Being able to practice your diving skills or learning a boat-load about life on the water or just hiring some equipment for yourself on the water – Brighton Marina has it all for you. But if you’re not feeling the water and are looking for something more cosy, the Marina has a cinema and casino, allowing you to sit and relax instead of taking to the water.
