Dover is the one of if not the closest place to France from the UK, and is a place Vision has visited often in the past. Dover is also close to Calais, in which Vision took students to help out refugees after the daughter of our staff member Anne, volunteered to help out with her University.
You can read more about it here.
Dover is a town located in the south-east of England and is a great spot for families or a pensioners group looking for a break away from home. Finding many things such as the events that are held here every year. With events changing every month, such as an old and new car exhibition or taking a ride on the trains for their railway festival!
Taking a trip down the Deal Pier, you can watch people take part in fishing and even try some yourself. Walking down the promenade, you are able to see what is down the other end. With a great view into the horizon, you can watch the sun set for a relaxing evening.
Being able to take a boat out to sea for fishing or to take a look at the famous white cliffs of Dover, you can see why people talk about them so much. With a lookout facing the French coast, you can walk across the cliffs to the South Foreland Lighthouse. Here you have an amazing view of the cliffs and of everything around. Historic events have taken place at the cliffs of dover, such as our defence in the World Wars.
