Down in the south-west of England, there is a famous place called Lands’ End that we all know of. Located in Cornwall, this is one of many attractions for people looking to take a short break or day trip across the country – but we’ll get to that later.
St Ives is within the top 10 best European beach destinations on TripAdvisor, and has won many national awards, which include the best family holiday destination awarded by Coast magazine, and we at Vision aren’t surprised! With fascinating golden beaches and plenty of activities to do in the town, St Ives is definitely a place to visit if travelling anywhere near the area. With plenty of activities here, it’s hard to take everything in, such as one of four Tate galleries in the world being located here, Godrevy Lighthouse, which inspired Virginia Woolf’s novel To the Lighthouse, or taking a boat ride out to watch seals play around about 3 ½ miles off the coast.
The surf centre of Europe, also known as Newquay, is another enjoyable experience whilst travelling down in Cornwall. With 11 beaches which are all easy to locate, you can build sandcastles or go swimming/surfing with ease. Further in the town, the energy rises, and especially when events are ongoing, which Newquay host throughout the year.
St Michael’s Mount is an “island” with rich history, filled with legends dating from over 1000 years. Being able to visit by foot or boat depends on the tide, as it is accessible by both. The ability to take a tour of the castle is available, learning all about the castle and much, much more.
Lands’ End is indeed, the lands’ end. Standing on the beautiful cliffs that overlook the Atlantic Ocean, you can be taken back by the sights and views that you can expect here, filled with magnificent opportunities for anyone who is looking for an adventure and for something new to explore. We would definitely recommend adding this to your sight-seeing list.
